Thermoplastic Tubing Sterile Sealers, Separation

Definition : Thermoplastic tubing sealers designed for the automated sealing of tubing ends that have been cut apart using a sterile procedure, permanently sealing each segment. These sealers typically consist of an electromechanical unit in which the tubing is inserted; the inserted tube is then compressed and heated using two ceramic elements (if liquid is present, it will be evacuated), producing a segment between the two seals that can be cut (e.g., using scissors) thus creating sterile separation (e.g., disconnections between tubing and a plastic bag).
