Masks, Resuscitator, Adult
Definition : Masks designed to aid in oxygenation and ventilation of patients weighing 35 kg (77 lbs) and above, and used in conjunction with pulmonary or cardiopulmonary resuscitation devices. These masks are constructed of rubber or plastic material and include a flexible rim to maintain an adequate seal around the nose and mouth during positive pressure ventilation. Resuscitator masks are connected through a hose to the resuscitator; they are intended to deliver air, oxygen, or a mixture of the two gases to the patient. Adult resuscitator masks are designed as either disposable or reuseable units.
