Depressors, Surgical, Brain

Definition : Surgical depressors designed for atraumatic compression of neurological brain tissue. These depressors are typically handheld, manual, metal, slender, flat instruments that may be concave at one or both working ends. Brain surgical depressors are used for gentle compression and slight movement of brain tissue during neurosurgery, to avoid high local pressure.
