Definition : Vascular surgical clips designed for the atraumatic compression of veins or arteries during microsurgical procedures, usually to cause total or partial temporary occlusion. These clips are typically small cross-action snap-on instruments. Microsurgical vascular clips are typically used in vascular procedures such as testicular implantation; they are also used in the restoration of the vas deferens after vasectomy (i.e., vasovasostomy).
