Decontaminants, Physical Removal/Chemical Neutralization, Resin

Definition : Physical-removal and chemical-neutralization decontamination products consisting of a reactive and absorbent resin. The resin is typically a mixture of a carbonaceous adsorbent, a polystyrene polymeric compound, and an ion-exchange resin. The mixture is usually impregnated on pads or mitts and packaged in kits containing a set of pads and other devices and products to facilitate its application. These resins are used for skin and/or personal-gear decontamination from chemical and/or biological agents.
