Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analysis to determine the level of low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C) in serum. High levels of LDL-C in serum (typically defined as more than 160 mg/dL) are associated with atherosclerosis and coronary artery diseases.
