Definition : Analyzers that are designed to be used for in vitro analysis in a central clinical laboratory, operated by a qualified technician, and usually permanently located on a workbench or dedicated floor space. Some laboratory analyzers can be used in satellite laboratories and/or can be moved to other locations using a cart (e.g., blood gas analyzers).
