Stimulators, Mechanical, Tactile, Vibratory

Definition : Tactile mechanical stimulators that apply vibration usually to the apex of the patient's great toe (hallux). Vibration is increased until a vibratory perception threshold is determined. Vibration mechanical stimulators are mostly used for detecting peripheral neuropathy, usually in diabetic patients.
