Audio Players, Compact Disk

Definition : Audio players designed to reproduce (playback) sound information stored in compact audio disks. These players usually consist of an electromechanical device that includes sound signal processors, controls, and an external slot for optical audio compact discs. The players may include a digital/analog converter and also integral amplifiers and speakers or provide output to sound reproduction systems.
