Definition : Installations designed to provide full care to infants and neonates. These stations typically consist of a structure including a bathtub, sinks, faucets, power outlets, a platform to place the infant, and some integral cabinets and/or drawers. The stations may also include an integral scale. Infant care stations are used to perform all standard procedures in neonate rooms in hospitals and other healthcare facilities, including nursing, bathing, examination, changing diapers, and minor treatments.
