These drill bits typically consist of a cylindrical shank of steel or other hard metal alloy with a uniform cross-section including a working end appropriate to rotate the head of a dental implant and a notched or elongated proximal end that is appropriate to fit into the rotary machine (e.g., a drill, dental handpiece).
