Racks, Electric/Electronic Equipment

Definition : Racks designed for providing safe storage to electrical and electronic instruments (e.g., recorders, monitors, servers) and/or other medical equipment. These racks usually consist of a heavy metal frame with open sides and pre-drilled holes to facilitate access to wires and cables bundles; they also typically include fixed and/or adjustable rails or shelves with non-slip surfaces. These racks can be stationary, wall-mounted, or rolling. Electric and/or electronic instrument racks are used in clinical and surgical departments, warehouses, and maintenance departments of healthcare facilities.
