Pipette Fillers

Definition : Flexible rubber or plastic bulbs designed to draw liquid up into a pipette. These bulbs are attached to the proximal end (known as the mouthpiece) of a pipette typically by inserting about 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) of the pipette into the bulb. Pipette bulbs are intended as a substitute for the traditional mouthpiece in clinical laboratories and other areas of healthcare facilities; safety pipette fillers intended for handling hazardous liquids are also available.
