Analyzers, Physiologic, Peristaltic Motility, Gastrointestinal

Definition : Peristaltic motility analyzers designed to determine gastric and/or small intestine (usually the duodenum) motility by measuring the pressure on an intragastric probe at several points. These analyzers usually also include a pH electrode to measure the acidity of the stomach contents. Gastrointestinal motility analyzers are used to evaluate several diseases in the stomach and small intestine, including the prediction of duodenal and/or gastric ulcers.
